GRAND RIVER REGIONAL CANCER CENTREThere are many places to park around the hospital and cancer centre including:

1. Main parking garage - on site at 835 King Street West, Kitchener
• Reserved oncology parking can be found on the 1st floor (first come, first served)

2. Pay & Display parking around the cancer centre/hospital
• Along the main entrance circle of Grand River Hospital
• 40 Green Street (Kaufman Building)
• Rotary lot on King Street (across from the Hospital)
• Don McLaren Parking Lot (across from the Kaufman Building on Green St.)


Parking Passes

If you will be making regular visits to the cancer centre you can buy a parking pass for 7 days up to 90 days. The cost of a parking pass ranges from $8.50 up to $102.00 depending on how many days you wish to park.

As of August 2024:

30 day oncology pass $34.00
45 day oncology pass $51.00
60 day oncology pass $68.00
90 day oncology pass $102.00

Steps to buy a parking pass:
1. To buy your parking pass ask for a validation slip from the GRRCC Main Registration Desk (3rd floor, main entrance)
2. Take the validation slip to the Precise parking office located on the 1st level of the GRH parking garage
3. Give your parking validation slip to the Precise parking attendant
4. Buy your parking pass using a debit OR credit card
5. Get your parking pass to use on your way in/out of the parking garage

Please note:
- The parking pass allows you to park in the GRH garage only
- You can enter and exit as many times as needed with the parking pass
- The parking pass must be inserted at the entry gate to work at the exit gates
- The permit allows outpatient cancer patients to park in designated outpatient permit only spots on the 1st level of the parking garage. The permit does not grant free parking in these spots.
- The Precise parking office hours are Monday – Friday, 7am to 4:30pm.
ST. MARY'S GENERAL HOSPITALMain Parking Lot
There is a 30-minute grace period at this location where visitors can park for free during that allotted time. After the grace period, parking rates start at $3.50 per 30 minutes, up to a $12.25/day maximum.

Accessible Parking

There are 18 accessible parking spots located in the southwest corner of the visitor’s parking lot closest to the hospital’s main entrance and crosswalk. The parking spots are in two locations; one is directly across from the hospital entrance adjacent to Queen’s Boulevard, the other is adjacent to Patricia Avenue, as shown in the photo below.

There is a cost to park in these lots.
If you are attending a cancer appointment you should park in lot #4.

Louise Marshall Hospital and Palmerston and District Hospital each have a large parking lot beside the building. Please avoid using specifically marked handicap spaces unless you have a permit. In addition, please avoid using specifically marked Dialysis parking spaces unless you are visiting the hospital for this specific service.

There is no cost to park at this time.
