The Waterloo Regional Health Network Health Information Network is a partnership between Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) and St. Mary’s General Hospital (SMGH) that will enable both hospitals to share electronic medical records.
The first step in this partnership is the implementation of the Cerner Health Information System. WRHN will go-live Cerner on September 22, 2019 followed by SMGH go-live on November 3, 2019. This means that healthcare providers at both hospitals will have seamless access to patient records while meeting privacy and circle of care requirement.
