The KW Campus has several amenities for patients and families.
Food
The KW Campus offers four options in our food court area, located near the main lobby on the third (ground) floor.
- Freshii: a full service location offering a range of fresh and fun bowls, salads, wraps and more.
- Subway: a full service location offering sandwiches and salads.
- Taste of Mediterranean: serving a wide range of Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Tim Hortons: the GRH Volunteer Association owns and operates the KW Campus location.

Phone Charging Options
JOOS Power Bank Mobile Chargers offer patients, visitors, and staff the option to rent a portable power bank, equipped with cables compatible with all devices. Power banks allow you to move freely and unrestricted throughout your care. Due to limited outlet availability, GRH encourages the use of JOOS power banks.
JOOS machines can be found throughout our KW campus, and are located at:
- Main Lobby across from Tim Hortons, next to our GO NOURISHED health vending machine
- ER waiting room, next to our ATM alongside the vending machines in the left-side hallway
- 4th floor Childbirth, immediately outside the main elevator bay
Power banks can be purchased by simply not returning to the charging station. Once a power bank has been taken for 72-hours, the power bank belongs to you! Rechargeable via USB-C connection.
JOOS contributes a portion of the proceeds to GRH, which supports patient care.
Bank machine
A bank machine is available in the main lobby of the KW Campus.
Gift shops
The Grand River Hospital Volunteer Association runs the gift shop at the KW Campus. All proceeds are donated to GRH.
The gift shop is located on the third (main) floor of the hospital in the C wing. It is currently open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for patients, care partners, staff and anyone already approved to be onsite at the hospital while we maintain COVID restrictions. It sells handicrafts, clothes, magazines, candy and unique gift items.
The gift shop at Freeport remains closed due to COVID-19.
Order over the phone or email
The gift shop at KW campus is happy arrange a gift delivery to your loved-one over the phone or through email. Assortment of gifts include:
- chocolates
- socks
- slippers
- puzzles
- books
- stuffed animals and more!

Internet access
GRH offers free wireless internet access.
Television rental
Beginning March 12, 2024, patient rooms at the KW Campus are transitioning to televisions set up with a streaming media player to allow patients to connect to their own streaming services (ie. Netflix, Disney+, Crave, Amazon Prime, etc.). Televisions will be free to access, although patients must pay for their own streaming subscriptions. Patients can also bring in their own devices and connect them to GrandServe, our free patient Wi-Fi service, to stream content and access internet services.
