The critical care program at Waterloo Regional Health Network provides care to seriously ill patients who need intensive monitoring and specialized life-saving interventions.
We have two intensive care units, both of which are at WRHN’s KW Campus:
- ICU A is for patients needing or likely to need advanced medical and technological support for disorders affecting the lungs, and other major organ systems; and
- ICU B provides monitoring to patients whose condition is less critical, but are considered unstable or too ill to receive care in a medical/surgical unit.
