Work continues on the ION light rail line near GRH. Here are two upcoming projects that may affect your trip to GRH.
King Street West sidewalk work, Friday August 12th for four days
Crews will complete the sidewalk on the south side of King Street between Union and Mount Hope.
King Street eastbound from Unionto Mount Hope (toward the KW Campus) will be closed for four days (up to and including Monday). King Street westbound will remain open to traffic up to Union Street.
The detour for hospital access from Union Street will be Union to Park to Mount Hope to King.
King and Wellington intersection closure, Monday August 15th to late September
GrandLinq will rebuild the intersection of King and Wellington streets, and install the LRT track. The intersection will be closed while this work happens.
Please consider using another cross street such as Louisa Street to get up to King Street. Traffic on King remains one lane westbound (going toward the hospital) from Wellington to Green.
