The specialized equipment provides radiation therapy for cancer patients.
When it opened in 2003, GRH’s cancer centre had two linear accelerators… with room to expand.
This new unit will be the fifth linear accelerator for cancer centre.
The Government of Ontario through Cancer Care Ontario is paying for the equipment.
Generous donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation will pay for renovations.
After installation and testing, the new unit will provide care for patients this spring.
