We're celebrating social workers in March. GRH's social workers are vital members of our care teams, making a big difference in the lives of patients and families.
Our social workers provide a wide range of care through:
- Leading groups in our mental health and addictions program;
- Supporting patients and families dealing with long-term illnesses who may have financial needs or require links with community programs;
- Bereavement counseling for families who may have lost a loved one; and
- One-on-one support for patients facing difficulties.
GRH is also pleased to host many social work students every year in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University.
