Grand River Hospital’s Freeport Campus is now a stop on a pilot Grand River Transit (GRT) Flex transit route, offering on-demand service for patients, families and members of the hospital community.
The new 901 Flex Trinity-Freeport route runs between Fairway Station, Trinity Village and GRH’s Freeport Campus, with additional stops at the Sunbeam Centre and on Cedarwoods Crescent. It uses a smaller vehicle with on-demand service to connect transit users to regularly-scheduled bus service and the upcoming ION light rail transit system.
The new route runs from Monday to Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. It’s open to all Waterloo Region residents. Registration and booking an hour in advance are required.
A regular fare costs $3.25, the same as other GRT services. The service also accepts GRT’s other payment methods.
For more information or to register for the service, please call 519-585-7597 extension 7232 or visit GRT’s website: http://www.grt.ca/en/schedules-maps/901-flex-trinity-freeport.aspx (opens in a new tab)
