The staff members of Grand River Hospital’s seniors’ specialized mental health unit at Freeport have won the latest team award of excellent for their work to put “compassion in every action”.

GRH has celebrated its on-going work with nurses and allied health professionals to add new practices to improve care. Patients like Justine Phillepe are noticing the difference.

Women managing both a mental health concern as well as an addiction now have help from a new support group that’s started at Grand River Hospital, thanks to donor support from the community.

A partnership for better addictions care was in focus at Grand River Hospital. The hospital hosted partners including House of Friendship, Stonehenge Therapeutic Community and the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network to celebrate the launch of the rapid access addiction clinic (RAAC).

The Grand River Hospital Volunteer Association has donated a record of $200,000 in net proceeds from its 2017 operations to Grand River Hospital Foundation for its MRI campaign. GRHVA runs the hospital’s retail services including the KW Campus Tim Hortons, gift shops at both campuses and the Freeport general store.
