Your Waterloo and Wellington region hospitals, in partnership with our Ontario Health Teams - KW4, Cambridge North Dumfries, and Guelph Wellington - have partnered to create a Know Your Care Options website and guide to help our communities know where to go to get the right care at the right time.

As a nurse, Leaha Beattie-Palmer is aware of the signs and symptoms of a stroke. She also knows how important it is to take immediate action to help a patient experiencing a stroke, in order to improve recovery outcomes. And still, her experience caught her by surprise.

This year marks 20 years of Cancer Care for the Grand River Regional Cancer Program, and the 20th year providing care for our communities at the Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre. Celebrate this incredible milestone with Grand River Hospital’s cancer team on November 4, 2023. We will revisit the past, honour our present, and look to the future with an open house for our communities.

During its annual conference on October 18, the CAN Health Network announced the 2023 CAN Health Network Award Recipients recognizing the Edges, companies, partners, and individuals in the Network who are transforming health care in Canada, and leading the new health care economy. Grand River Hospital was named the Edge of the Year Award recipient for 2023.

Grand River Hospital is among the many Ontario healthcare providers that share personal health information with BORN Ontario related to pregnancy, birth and newborn care – important healthcare encounters that can affect lifelong health.

Starting this September, GRH is proud to re-introduce our patient experience surveys in a new digital format in select outpatient clinics. Digital surveying in select adult inpatient and pediatric programs, as well as the Emergency Department will follow later this fall.
