Stomp Out Stigma develops hope and understanding for mental health
June 6, 2017WRHN will celebrate change for better mental health understanding as its fifth Stomp Out Stigma event takes place at the Freeport Campus tomorrow. Mental health staff at the hospital have organized the event, which will include round tables, displays by community partners, musical and artistic features, a barbecue and much more.

Patients, visitors and staff are not allowed to smoke anywhere on hospital property; this includes any of the sidewalks on hospital property (until you reach the street), the parking garage and inside your vehicle (when on hospital property).
GRH care providers to support Ontario’s blood supply with on-site clinic by Canadian Blood Services
May 29, 2017Waterloo Regional Health Network is holding its first ever on-site clinic with Canadian Blood Services. 132 people have signed up for appointments, while an additional 17 spaces will be available for drop-in donors. New donors account for nearly 40 per cent of the booked appointments.

Welcome back to the KW Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1967
May 17, 2017WRHN was pleased to welcome the KW Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1967 back to the KW Campus for a tour marking their 50th graduation reunion. The tour featured 44 people of the original class of 58 members. The grads came back to Waterloo Region from across the continent to take part in the reunion.
